In the tale of Beauty and the Beast, a stolen rose creates turmoil with lasting and far-reaching effects. The beautiful red rose for a beautiful daughter, an innocent gesture suddenly filled with consequences. I wanted to make an image of a rose that was alive with such complex energies.
