Medical debris on campaign lawn signs and a wooden frame. Coated with PVA.

Created during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, this artwork repurposes discarded surgical socks, used cotton balls, syringe components, and other medical debris on salvaged political lawn signs. It critiques the neglect of public health systems and the environmental impact of pandemic-related waste, which added over 8 million tons of medical waste to oceans in six months. The piece reimagines the American flag as a warning about neglect, pollution, and the disposability of people and resources.
