There are many things we don't know about space. Scientists have explored the idea that space is maleable. Near black holes, it is said that space and time bend and warp. I've been thinking about the flexibility of space. Perhaps it often rolls and undulates, as water does at its surface. I like to think of space in this gentle undulation, kissed by light as it roils along. This work was painting on yupo, a polypropylene product. It is mounted on a half inch thick MDF panel. The edges are gilded with the same 23k gold as the piece is rimmed with. The painting installs with a cleat, which is provided when you purchase the piece.
