“Water Has No Other Edge” ripples and folds in on itself to create far more spaces than initially appear within this painting. To create this painting, I draw a few lines in ink, and then use a paint roller to pick up and repeat those lines over the field of the painting, creating a resonant, ghostly continuity. Every line has to be able to repeat over every other line.
