The title of this piece is from the Gaelic language: it means, the inbetween place. From the original language, the words reference geographic features. The inbetween place also has powerful metaphoric content, alluding to places beyond our physical world. The strong horizontal in this painting suggests the horizon line, that place separating sky and earth. When I was young, I used to imagine that I could go between that separation, and that the space would expand to hold me, or anyone. This painting nods in that direction, the white space seeming to grow and expand as you meditate one it. The work is sold unframed.
