I am a visual artist/painter who lives and works both in New York City and Hudson, NY. I work in all paint media and lately have developed a technique using pigmented plaster and wax. My version of fresco painting. My work has been widely shown both here and in Europe and I am included in many private and public collections. I studied art at Kutztown State University in Pennsylvania,Tyler School of Art, and New York University. Over the years I have been the recipient of several awards and fellowships, most notably, the MacDowell Colony Fellowship, Vermont Studio Colony Fellowship, An Elizabeth Foundation For The Arts Grant. Santa Fe Art Institute Residency Fellowship, Change Inc. Grant from Robert Rauschenberg, and The Milton And Sally Avery Fellowship. I have lectured about my work over the years and spent several years teaching art. In addition to making art I have worked in the theater as a set designer and builder for the Actors Studio in New York City under the directorship of Arthur Penn and Estelle Parsons. I am very excited to present my work with Art in Res. My abstract compositions have a firm foundation in the Natural World and I invite the viewer to interpret these images .
