Acrylic, Paper, Graphite, Colored Pencil Applied to Wood Panel

This particular painting was created on paper first, then applied to a cradled wood panel. Some pieces are torn away, exposing wood and adding an erosive texture. It has a watery wash of cream acrylic paint over it showing less defined layers underneath. It has a very peaceful, natural feel to it but upon close inspection, lots of texture and layering. I spend a lot of time around water am always amazed at the evidence of its destructiveness from storms and high tides. Saltwater tends to deteriorate things yet somehow it is oddly peaceful upon observance. I believe this painting is representative of my many hours spent staring at the tidal pools and inspecting items found there. This artwork ships framed and wired for hanging. Signed on the back/front and comes with a handwritten thank you note from the artist. The floater frame is wood with a natural light maple finish. Unframed, the artwork itself measures 22x30in.
