Manure and Mulch, I am Home.

I grew up in Dallastown, PA. Manure was the smell of the late spring when farmers added it. Mulch would be delivered to my parents house in mounds that smelled awful but we would slide down them like a playground. When I moved to Philadelphia for school, I took Amtrak back to Lancaster for holidays to see my parents. As soon as I smelled those 2 things on the train, I knew I was 15 minutes away. The painting is based off being on that Amtrak train when I would look our after smelling and seeing the farms.
