Sara Guryan Galkin, aka gUrsLa, lives with her husband and 3 children in Brooklyn, NY. She is an abstract painter, exhibiting artist and teacher. Her approach to teaching centers around making mistakes, being present and placing value on the frustration of not knowing.
Sara left a full time job in advertising in 2014 to pursue her art."It was not a choice, it just started pouring out of me". Working primarily with adolescents and teens, Sara focuses on self-reliance, making mistakes and embracing that moment when we let go of thinking. Being a human being is all about making "beautiful mistakes". Often our best work comes from our beautiful mistakes that lead to our best discoveries.
