Lives and works in Providence, RI
Mea Duke is a Providence, RI based painter, printmaker, and sculptor who grounds her research-based and interdisciplinary practice within the humorous exploration between the lines of “painting an object” and “painting as an object.” Rather than make this statement, Duke finds it more satisfying to ask further questions and point out these objects and moments in our everyday lives.

The more one uncovers the relationship and materiality between works, the more this interest is revealed.
