Lives and works in Niskayuna, New York
I grew up in Niskayuna, NY and attended Niskayuna High School where I realized my love for creating art. I was very fortunate to have teachers, both in high school and college, who encouraged me to pursue my passion.

I grew up in Niskayuna, NY and attended Niskayuna High School where I realized my love for creating art. I was very fortunate to have teachers, both in high school and college, who encouraged me to pursue my passion.
I attended the College of Saint Rose where I majored in Art Education and graduated with concentrations in painting, silkscreen and drawing. For 34 years, I taught K-6 art, first in the Coxsackie-Athens School District and the last 25 years in the City School District of Albany. The experience I gained from teaching in suburban/rural and urban districts showed me firsthand the inspirational power of Art education and reinforced how important Art is in a person’s development.
In 2013, I retired from teaching and concentrated more on my own art in my home studio. My primary medium is watercolor gouache and I draw inspiration from nature and everyday objects that I depict in a style that I believe is all my own. Most recently I have been experimenting in different mediums including ribbon, markers, and various ink pens.
I hope you enjoy viewing my work as much as I enjoyed creating it!
