Studied ballet as well as studio and liberal arts at I.U. then BFA program at Carnegie Tech, and later art history at Hunter.
I moved into Manhattan in 1969 to get good ballet training for my talented daughter, who went on to dance in movies and with New York City Ballet, and to choreograph in London and New York.
I am and always was a wannabe dancer. My mother gave me ballet lessons at eight for my flat feet and stopped them when I fell in love with ballet. I managed to study more with the first university ballet teacher at Indiana University, and danced in some music school performances, and I managed to study more as an adult. When my daughter Antonia was born, she had such perfect feet and then a perfect body, I moved us to New York for the training she warranted. I learned and observed from the edge of the dance world as she grew up and joined it.
I have continued to make the Upper West Side of Manhattan my home. Good access to the dancers I work with.
