Lives and works in Grayslake, Illinois
For twenty years, my medium of choice has been encaustic (beeswax, resin, and pigment). Its properties suit me because it moves fluidly, can be worked sculpturally, and it is lustrous and sensuous. It even smells divine......
More recently, I have included fabric, glass, and any matter of forest floorings to my paintings.
You guessed it: the natural world fascinates me.

You guessed it: the natural world fascinates me. I like to create places that are not representational, but reminiscent of landscape.
I am a seasoned bird........been painting for decades. I hope you connect with the forms, colors and textures of my work, which many say are alchemical.
(Oh, and I forgot to mention: I use heat in the form of map or propane gas to meld or "burn" in the layers of molten paint.)
