Piper Olivas

Piper Huntington Olivas is an up and coming American artist focusing on mixed media photographic work. Originally from Santa Fe New Mexico, she currently works and lives in Los Angeles, California. Her work explores the delicate and often unpredictable relationship between nature and identity. Reoccuring thematic elements of aging and growth are expressed through semiabstract works with an emphasis on the female form. Her large scale photographic installations, featuring the body and mixed-media forms, seek to disrupt one’s perception. Pulling from a variety of classical poetry and text as inspiration, Olivas also explores her own identity within these mixed media pieces. She recently earned her BFA from California College of the Arts.
